![]() Popgang on a mini-adventure 30/05/2005 Stroud band Popgang, who wear their awe of bands like The Cure and Joy Division cheerfully on their sleeves, are to do a three date mini-tour, starting on Sunday, May 29 at The Welsh Harp in Gloucester with DJ collective BRS. "We like beats and bands," said lead singer Rob Evans. "DJs and live bands work well together." So well, it seems, that the next stop - at The Greyhound in Stroud on Thursday, June 2 - will also feature BRS. The final date on the tour is at the George Tavern in Commercial Road, London, a trendy, celeb-strewn East End haunt owned by ex-Stroud artist Pauline Wilson-Copp. Popgang are to be supported at the George Tavern on Saturday, June 4 by The Bisons and the as-yet-unnamed band lead by Dan from Le Neon. Popgang are also set to release their new EP, Four Sides, to coincide with the tour. It will be available from Trading Post and Kane's Records.
